Lee Thompson Young

The years between 1998 and 2013 saw Lee Thompson Young have a pretty successful career. He was particularly more famous for his role in The Famous Jett Jackson that aired on Disney channel. Some of the other notable performances include in movies such as Akeelah and the Bee, Just an American and Friday Night Lights. While on the cast of Rizzoli and the Isles, he failed to turn up for filming on a given day.

An LAPD led investigation discovered him dead in his apartment. It was then confirmed by the police that he had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He committed to the tragic act in August of 2013. Young was diagnosed to be suffering from bipolar disorder and an autopsy revealed that he was struggling with depression. The news came as a shock to his family and they went on to establish the Lee Thompson Young foundation for eradication of mental illness.
