Dawn Wells Then

Raised in Reno, Nevada, Dawn Wells went through her university education in Missouri at the Stephens College. She is widely celebrated for her amazing looks and great talent. Although she is popularly known for the role of Mary Ann Summers in Gilligan’s Island, she has also made some great performances in a number of other TV series that include Maverick, Bonanza, 77 Sunset Strip and The Cheyenne Show. Wells played the Mary Ann character both in the original series and the animated spinoff Gilligan’s Planet. The debut she made in Hollywood hover predated all of these shows.

She first graced the silver screen with an appearance in the ABC series The Roaring ‘20s and also rocked the big screen with a role she played in The New Interns. When she was younger, she was indeed one of the most gorgeous women of all time. This has changed much even now that she is 78 years old. This does not come as a surprise for a beauty queen though. In 1959, she wore the Miss Nevada State crown. She also represented Nevada in the Miss America pageant in 1960, playing for the national title.
