Candy Darling

Popularly known as Warhol Superstar, Candy Darling has been cast in various successful projects that include 1968’s Flesh and 1971’s Women in Revolt. Born in Queens, Candy was biologically male and was known by the name James Lawrence Slattery. At the age of 29, Candy unfortunately died of Lymphoma. Before her death, she had written a letter for Andy Warhol and his fans in which she stated “unfortunately, before my death I had no desire left for life… I am just so bored by everything. I wish I could meet you all again.” Her career as an actress was brilliant.
