Nadia Almada

Born in the Madeira, a Portuguese island, Nadia has made quite a reputation for herself in showbiz. She rose to the public spotlight back in the year 2004 after she came out top of the popular show, Big Brother, Series 5. What was even more exciting about the British reality TV star’s win was the fact that she was the first transgender to ever win the competition. During the competition, Nadia kept her transgender identity a secret from the fellow contestants. Viewers on the other hand were informed about it. Nadia emerged the winner after an overall vote in which she garnered 74% after spending more than 3 months in the Big Brother House. Even after the final vote, Nadia has often topped public polls as the favorite Big Brother winner.
