20 of the World’s Scariest Bridges

  •  Quepos Bridge, Costa Rica

The Quepos Bridge is a dangerous bridge located between Costa Rica’s Quepos and Jaco. It is a very narrow bridge, a feature that makes it challenging to cross in a large vehicle. The bridge has been dubbed the Oh My God Bridge or Bridge of Death by the locals just for how extremely dangerous it is. This bridge is part of the most spectacular bridges on earth and is very narrow vehicles can only travel towards one direction at a time. At first sight, the bridge looks too weak to even support a bicycle. Don’t let this fool you however as 30-ton trucks cross the bridge more often than you could imagine. The deathtrap has survived for a long time, despite appearing to be on the verge of crumbling.  The bridge features loose slats that give loud cranks whenever a vehicle is on it. There are also massive gaps as the planks do not cover the entire structure.
