The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is one of Ireland’s most famous bridges, not for its beauty or architectural elegance, but for the fact that it is a terrifying structure. The bridge that spans 66ft and is suspended at about 98ft above the ground is certainly a tummy-turning bridge. The many rocks that are spread underneath the bride inspire even more fear on people walking across it. It is a major tourist attraction and has recorded a large number of visitors in the recent past. Although it is scary, the panoramic view of the beautiful island, the sea and the beach are definitely worth taking the scary walk for. Many people have feared walking the bridge twice and resorted to taking a ferry back. You also have to pay to use the bridge to cross.
