Reinaldo Arenas

Reinaldo Arenas died from an intentional drug and alcohol overdose in December of 1990 at the age of 47. He was a Cuban poet, novelist and play writer whose work was appreciated by many. He left a suicide note in which he indicated that he was suffering from depression as a result of being an AIDS victim. This is clearly what led the great personality that wrote a lot on Cuba’s freedom to take his life.
